Web (HTTP) Server

The Web (HTTP) server provides the mechanism to communicate with a Web browser (HTTP client) on the internet, or an intranet, and process Web (HTTP) requests. It includes most of the features of a standard Web (HTTP) server and can respond with dynamic HTML, from the HTML generator, or static HTML and other media types from the backend database or system files. In addition, it includes a HTTP client facility that enables it to send HTTP requests to other servers. The HTTP communication module configuration enables access control to the server and includes the ability to allow or deny a Web (HTTP) request based on its message headers.
